Communicating with our parents and carers is such an essential and important part of what we do. It is essential that parents and school work together to ensure every child makes the most of their time with us.
Parents and carers can access all of our letters, posts and forthcoming events from the navigation bar at the top of each page on this website.
Parents of students in Year 5 will be given an email address for Mrs Kemp and we ask that this is used for initial contact. Mrs Kemp will pass on anything relevant to other teachers. For all other Year groups the email address of the child’s tutor is supplied. There is also a space in the Pupil Log where short messages can be written for your child’s tutor.
Meetings can be arranged with any member of staff but we ask that appointments are made beforehand. A weekly bulletin sheet is sent to all parents every Friday as well as regular Newsletters celebrating our successes. Letters are sent via ParentPay and are also displayed on this website. We operate a text message system for important messages. You can also keep up to date via our Twitter feed.
Please see the communication tools we use at our school to enable the smooth and safe transference of information between school and home.
If you have any issues accessing these tools please contact the School Office.
ParentPay enables parents and carers to pay for school meals, trips and activities as well as provide a communication portal between school and home. When your child starts at Horringer Court Middle School you will receive communication with ParentPay account activation details.
If you haven’t received any, contact your school and request ParentPay login details.
Once you have your account details you can log in online at parentpay.com. Look for the ‘Login’ button at the top right.
If you would like to use ParentPay on your smartphone, just bookmark the login page to your home screen for easy access.
Home Learning and Revision CENTURY provides students with access to learning materials and assessments in English, Mathematics and the Sciences. Students get a personal profile which allows them to look at how they are performing. This is fantastic for independent learning and directs students to areas they need to look at, and areas which they are doing well at. Parents are also able to see this profile and are able to see what assignments have been completed and whether they were completed on time.
